Still, I found it insightful, particularly tidbits like how Kostas Tsimikas was first spotted by scouts following the progress of Pedro Chirivella while he was on loan at Willem II.

You haven’t been on the internet lately if you haven’t experienced the bitter in-fighting between Liverpool supporters, particularly those who believe fans should be up in arms against those who are taking a more pragmatic approach. It is a dispiriting, demeaning and pointless ‘battle’ that is limited exclusively online: no one turned up for a protest that some of the main online antagonists were said to be organising.

One of the few positive aspects of this season has been the opportunity that injuries have opened up for young players. Of course, Stefan Bajcetic has been the prime beneficiary but Ben Doak has also received plenty of opportunities and the Scottish winger looks like he has all that is needed to be a big success.

Michael Calvin is a great author and interviewer, so it is hardly surprising that he managed to get so deep with Jurgen Klopp in this podcast. The manager’s view on loyalty is, in particular, a must listen.
